Viking Malt strengthens its organisation
Viking Malt is the leading malting company in Northern Europe, with 340.000 ton of malting capacity in Finland, Sweden and Lithuania. To secure the malt supplies of its customers, Viking Malt will increase its capacity to 500.000 ton and actively promote malting barley growing and development in its sourcing areas. Its "More than Malting" concept will be further developed into true partnerships in the value chain from barley to beer.
To support the growth ambitions, The Board of Viking Malt has decided to strengthen the organisation:
Antti Orkola has been appointed Managing Director of the Viking Malt Group as of September 1st. Antti comes from Yara Finland (former Kemira GrowHow) where he holds the position as Executive Phosphate Director. He is an internationally experienced senior executive and a development minded manager. He will be supported by Bengt Ohlsson, who has been appointed Group Commercial Director as of September 1st. Bengt also continues as Managing Director for Viking Malt AB in Sweden.
