Oy Maltax Ab in Lahti processes further malt produced by Viking Malt.
The factory produces products both for the industrial and the consumer market.

The main functional properties of the malt extracts and malt enzymes are colour,
aroma and enzymatic power for the production of maltose syrups. Main customer
groups are bakeries, breweries, sweetener manufacturers and other food industries.

We produce different kits for making homebrewed alcoholic or non-alcoholic beer.
These are especially popular in the Eastern European market, where the
non-alcoholic version is called “kvas“.

Only natural raw materials, such as malted barley, malted rye, water and hop extract,
are used for the different malt extract products.

75% of the annual turnover comes from exports. Main export markets are Central Europe,
USA, Russia and other Eastern European countries. The main customers in the
domestic market are bakeries and beer kit users.
